Hi, I’m Lexi Cantrell!

At the University of Nevada, Reno, I'm an undergraduate journalism student focusing in sports media and broadcasting. My passion in sports media began when I was born and reared in Orange County, California, where I was surrounded by sports.

I spend a lot of time being active outside of the classroom. I like weightlifting and Pilates, but I also like to occasionally try out different exercise programs. Additionally, I enjoy cooking, and I aim to try a new recipe every week. Outside of writing, fitness and wellness have become a terrific way for me to express myself.

I appreciate reading for amusement as well as for academic purposes. Boys of Tommen by Chloe Walsh was the most recent series I couldn't put down. Along with reading, I enjoy creative writing on my own. I write for enjoyment, not because it's associated with homework, deadlines, or sports.

My life still revolves heavily around sports. I’m a fan of the Colorado Buffaloes, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Golden State Warriors and Valkyries, and Angel City FC. My long-term objective is to work as a sports broadcaster, specializing in football or soccer. My goal is to become a professional who shares the experiences, people, and events that make sports significant.
